A Grammar of The Tibetan Language
This is one of the early grammars of Tibetan, compiled a long time ago when critical sources were far less available than they are today. The book is still useful, of course, but not necessarily for someone who is studying Tibetan now. I bought it, hoping it would help me as a beginning student. It was OK, but I wound up having to check everything against more modern grammars. The fact that there are some distinct dialects also confused the issue. If you want a complete library of all Tibetan language sources in English, then add it to your collection. Otherwise, keep your eyes open for more modern sources, and go to the online Tibetan adademic stores for their recommendations on a suitable grammar.
