the International Association of Buddhist Universities (IABU), rncreated from the collective efforts of Buddhists everywhere, plays an important role, yet again. rnThe IABU was born from sustained collaborations between international Buddhist leaders and rnscholars, beginning to meet together under the auspices of the International Council for Day of Vesak rn(ICDV) celebrations, but has branched out to as the IABU Secretariat largely organizes the logistics rnand academic portions of the conference. The IABU now aims to take the lead with improving rnBuddhist Studies and higher education for Buddhists in general.
