his book, 'Mahavanshaya' written in Sinhalese, is the historical story of Ceylon or ancient Sri Lanka. This book has been presented the history from the very first King of Ceylon, King Vijaya to 1948, when the country got freedom from the British rule. Therefore, this has been filled the long felt need of having a one book of history including the start of the Mahavansha and not finishing half way. This also includes Culavansha and the various Kings who ruled Sri Lanka, the important events which took place during their rule and also British Rulers information. This book will be invaluable for students of history, scholars and also for general readers.
